I take my hat off to women who parent more than two kids. I sometimes struggle with my own two – school, house work, homework, after school sports, cooking, laundry… but Kellie smashes it out of the park with her SIX! I don’t know how I could spread myself evenly with any more children but Kellie is a natural and I was in awe of her!
Meet Jess and her darling babies. This was one of those sessions where we had rescheduled twice due to terrible weather. Third time lucky…. it was a wonderful shoot.
Photographing mother’s together with their children is a beautiful thing to capture. If you would like similar photos for your own collection, hit me up. I’ll be there in a heart beat.
It had been three years since I photographed this family – and since then, the kids have grown incredibly. The eldest son now heading into his last year of high school and their only daughter is now ready to start her next school chapter. This is why documenting your family and more so your kids is a must. These photos will mark a time when all three kids were still home and living their daily life together. Next year it will have changed and things wont be the same.
I feel very honoured in giving families collections of photos documenting the different stages of their story…
This was my second time photographing the McDouall family. The first time was at their beautiful Toowoomba home a couple of years back, but this time we headed out to their newly acquired slice of paradise about 20 minutes from town. We explored the land together and I was shown around some of their favourite spots to hang as a family. This place holds many dreams and hopes for them and it was such a peaceful and incredible backdrop for their photos.
When you are asked back for a third time to photograph a family, you know you’re doing something right…
I first met Alyssa and Rob when they lived on their sheep property and Alyssa was pregnant with her first baby. We did a beautiful maternity shoot then she invited me back months later to photograph her newborn son, Roy. A year later and I was back and this time it was to document their life with a very busy son at their new home at Sugarloaf.
They are one of the most chilled couples I know and even though this particular afternoon Roy wasn’t himself, they didn’t stress or fuss one bit – laughing got us through the meltdowns and tantrums!
It’s so special to be able to continually document a family and give them photographs of their growth, love and connection.
Thank you again Alyssa and Rob xx
